How we build answers, and what we will not do.
What these answers are
Every answer is an AI reconstruction. It is not the real person, and it says so on every page. It is built by retrieving passages from that figure's own writings and recorded words, then writing an answer that stays within what those passages support.
Where the sources come from
Each figure has a Source Library of speeches, letters, books and other writings. Public-domain works are quoted in full where useful. For works still in copyright we quote only brief excerpts. Every answer links to the passages it relies on so you can read the source yourself.
We do not cite or quote encyclopedias or summaries as if they were the figure's words.
Confidence labels
Documented: the answer is grounded in the figure's recorded words, quoted and cited. Inferred: the record does not address the question directly, so the answer reasons from what the figure did write, and says so. Outside the Record: the sources do not speak to it, and we say that plainly instead of guessing.
Sensitive and contested topics
Questions about live political controversies, living people and active legal cases get extra review. We do not have a historical figure endorse a living politician or a party, and we do not state verdicts about living people or ongoing cases.
Corrections
If an answer misquotes a source or attributes words to the wrong person, tell us at info@legendslibrary.ai. We correct the answer and update the page's last-updated date. When new sources are added for a figure, that figure's answers are rebuilt against the larger library.
